At home, check your iPhone or iPad is on the home Wi-Fi, and that myYam is allowed in the Settings app › Privacy & Security › Local Network. Away from home, check an away address is set in myYam's Settings › Home Assistant, and that the hub is switched on. If Home Assistant runs on a computer, the computer must be awake.

The icon at the top right is greyed out while the hub isn't connected; About shows the details and has Reconnect.

That happens if your device was signed out in your Home Assistant profile. In myYam, use Settings › Home Assistant › Forget hub, then Sign in with Home Assistant again.

Yes, with Home Assistant Cloud turned on for your hub. See using myYam away from home. myYam switches between home and away by itself.

Yes. On the welcome screen, tap Try the demo house. It's a made-up home where everything works, so you can see what myYam does first. Leave it from Settings › Home Assistant › Leave the demo house.

Yes. Each person signs in with their own Home Assistant user, so Who's home knows who you are and you can choose your own picture. A long-lived access token from your Home Assistant profile also works.

Who's home comes from the Home Assistant app on each person's phone. Check the Home Assistant app is installed and signed in on their phone with location allowed. Then, in Home Assistant, go to Settings › People, open the person, and make sure their phone is listed under Track device.

Check their phone is the one listed under Track device (not an iPad left at home), and that the pin for home in Home Assistant (Settings › Areas, labels & zones › Home) is on your house.

Tap your own face in Who's home, or use Settings › People › Change. Take a photo, choose one from Photos or Files, or pick an avatar. Everyone in the house sees it. You can only change your own.

Open your picture as above and tap Use my Home Assistant picture. "Remove picture" shows your initial instead. Neither changes your Home Assistant profile.

That's Apple Home answering, not myYam. Start with "My Yam" (or "Yam") so Siri sends it to myYam: "Hey Siri, My Yam, turn off the lights", "My Yam, Snug lights off", "My Yam, Upstairs lights on".

Open myYam once after adding or renaming rooms: Siri learns the names each time the app connects.

Turn a room's or zone's lights on or off, turn off all the lights ("lights out"), ask whether the laundry is done, and open the cameras. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app; myYam's Settings › Siri & Shortcuts lists them all.

Rooms come from Home Assistant's areas. In Home Assistant, open the device (Settings › Devices & services › Devices) and change its area. If you also use the Hue app, move it there too: Hue's rooms and Home Assistant's areas are separate.

Zones are light groups made in Home Assistant: Settings › Devices & services › Helpers › Create helper › Group › Light group. A group named "Upstairs Lights" shows in myYam as Upstairs.

From the Hue app or Home Assistant. A scene made for a Hue room or zone shows in that room or zone in myYam.

Press and hold a heading's grabber (≡) and drag it onto another heading. The ↑↓ button also sorts A to Z or Z to A, or resets the order. Inside a room, tap Arrange… to order its lights and devices.

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap +, and search for myYam. To choose which room a Lights widget shows, touch and hold it › Edit Widget.

Widgets refresh every 15 minutes or so (iOS decides exactly when). Opening myYam updates them straight away.

Switch it off in myYam's Settings › Home page.
